Was absolutely awesome. I can say without hesitation that this was the best line-up I've ever had the joy of playing with as a solo artist.
I opened the night with one of my better sets (if I do say so myself), and was followed by Opposite of Blue who had some fantastic harmonies going. I was super impressed.
Then came Rosa Loess who had a really angelic voice. Her rendition of Are you Lonesome Tonight? was fantastic!
Then the headliner Amber Long put out some block rocking beats from her new album which will hit the shelves next week. She danced up a storm eventhough racked with a fierce cold.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night for me was Paul McLeod, ex-Sky Digger, whose guitar picking skills, and Paul Simon-esque vocals made me vascillate between wanting to play more and just forgetting about the whole thing because I'll never be that good.
On top of all this great music, the venue, The Groove Kitchen in Cambridge, was a great venue. The sound was awesome. I haven't been in Cambridge in 8 years give or take, and I was thoroughly surprised that such a fantastic venue exists in what was really becoming a ghost town when I remember it. Matt Storch, the owner and resident musician/soundguy is a sound guy (get it?) who knows his stuff and his customers. They've carved a nice niche out in Cambridge and I can't wait to play there again.
All in all, it was a great night!
Beware! The Leopard's full set will be up for download sometime this weekend!

Funny ... I just heard Paul McLeod for the first time ever (as a solo guy) on CBC Radio 2 this afternoon. Very cool that you got the chance to play on a line up with him!
Oh, and you should totally listen to Radio 2 before 10:00 and after 3:00pm. They have great indie music and other feature a lot of great artists too ofter over looked on mainstream radio (ie: Paul McLeod). No ads is an added bonus, as is the fact that they don't seem to play Nirvana every hour!
