Promotion ideas?

With two big gigs coming up in the next couple of months, I'm trying to think of new ideas to increase my promotion and ensure that I get decent crowds out to the gigs.  There's the usual Facebook, Twitter, blogging, email list, and postering, but can anyone else out there give me some ideas on what else I can do to get a good turnout?
