Only two weeks until the next gig at Mitzi's sister, and we're getting excited. So excited that we've found a couple of new places you can get our tunes.
If you haven't been following our twitter feed, you probably won't know about this really cool site called Grooveshark. It lets you stream music to your computer and it has an enormous selection of titles, you can create your own playlists and save them, and the music is hosted offsite, so you don't need to take up room on your hard drive. Beware! The Leopard's debut EP "Cli-Che" is now available for streaming!
Also, if you haven't visited our page on TheSixtyone you should, as you can now stream, or buy our tracks directly from there!.
See you at Mitzi's!

Gigging it up tomorrow at the Starving Artist. This is a really intimate venue, with some great drinks/food, and it should be a lot of fun. Come support local music!

I know it's pretty far removed from our sound, but I've been all over the funk lately. Particularly Edwin Starr.
Check this cat out!

That's right, the year is off to a bright start. We've already booked our first two gigs and others are in the works.
You can check us out in an intimate venue, the Starving Artist (known globally for its waffle bacon - which I will be eating throughout the set), January 21st. This place is tiny so if you want get up close and personal with us, now's your chance. It's a pay what you can gig, so there's no cover!
We've also got February 16th booked at Mitzi's Sister playing with a transplanted Scot, and a yet to be determined act. This will be our first time playing this popular Toronto venue, so be sure to come down and make it as raucous a Tuesday night as there ever was!

So the time has come to curl up in front of the fire with family and friends, enjoy that fine red wine and let the worries of another year settle down in the pit of your stomach not to be released until your next mid-life crisis. You've probably braved the cold to get your shopping done, and maybe you're dreading that awkward discussion about your sex life with Aunt Hilda who wonders why you haven't produced her Godson yet, but let's not let all these things make us forget what the holidays are all about, spending time with loved ones, be they human or animal, and taking a well needed break from the hustle and bustle of society.
So Beware! The Leopard wishes you a very Merry Christmas, or whichever holiday you choose to celebrate, and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Thanks for all the support this year, we really appreciate it!

Despite the fact that the long running soap opera has been cancelled, the world continues to turn for the rest of us.
Following the successful launch of our Cli-Che EP at the Garrison last week, we've been extremely busy hunting for gigs for the new year. Get ready because 2010 is going to be absolutely awesome.
On another note, Mark Segger is going to be playing tonight at the Starving Artist on Landsdowne. Go check out one half of Beware! The Leopard and I promise you won't regret it.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for new gigs, and remember that the Cli-Che EP makes a great stocking stuffer for the holidays!

So the record is at the presses, the posters are being posted, and my throat is killing me. Must mean that the EP release is coming up.
If you don't already have your tickets, make sure you grab yours HERE.
We've also got a couple of our tunes on www.thesixtyone.com if you're not a member you really should be, this is where all the best new indie guys and gals are hanging out. It's a great way to introduce yourself to some good new music.
Make sure on your way out you check out three tracks off the EP playing in the sidebar. Another one will be added soon, keep your eyes and ears peeled!
Here's the fabulous poster that yours truly created for the show (picture by the wonderful D. Maheu as always).
